Volleyball and Broom Hockey/ Basketball
On June 20th, [IMPACT] held a volleyball/broom hockey day in Mililani. Turnout…was poor, but those who showed up had a good time! It was a beautiful day, a wide open park and good friends. Yay to Faith Christian Fellowship for bringing out the most youth! Thank you to the leaders and all of the youth who came out and spent the day with us!

Basketball was a little over a week after that, on the 29th. This time, we were out at the Palolo Gym. Turnout…was good! The kids played 3-on-3 half-court basketball. Kalihi Union Church had the most youth with 4 teams!
At halftime, James led a mini-challenge: Bump. With five churches being represented, two basketballs were in play at the same time. The representatives stood in order. The first one would shoot for the basket, the second person would shoot right after the first. The first person was eliminated if the second person made a basket before he did, and so on.
Everyone got into cheering on the contestants and woohoo! Watched as Joseph from Kalihi Union Church beat the competition!
Then we all settled down for a testimonial message by Jared Westenhaver of Kapahulu Bible Church. Later, he brought up one of the youth to give his testimony, Johnny.
The competition started up again. It was something great to see a referee lead two competing teams in a prayer before putting the ball in play. The girls were strong in their game.
